The Teacher Citizen Voice category talks about different issues that we face as future teachers and their relationship  to local, state and federal educational policies, as well as what teacher candidates can be doing to raise awareness about these important issues.

Did you know . . .

It is the legislative season int he Indiana House and Senate from January through April. In committtees on education they are busy considering education policies that have an impact on students’ lives and the practicing of the profession.

Under consideration in early March of 2017 were the following:

• Teacher background checks, prayer in school and suicide prevention training.
